The gadget we've all been waiting for!

Hi,
Basically you pop a bottle underneath the spout, and set the machine to how many ounces you need. It gives you a hot shot of weather which is hot enough to dissolve the powder and kill any germs in it, then it tops it up with sterile filtered cool water so the bottle is exactly the right temperature within about 1 minute from scratch.
You just top it up with tap water. It doesn't keep the water constantly warm, I think it forces the hot water through an element or something.
My sister uses dr browns and they worked under my machine.

It's about $150-160 I think

Mine was delivered today and I have to say it is awesome!

£30 off now!!! Soo wish I had bought this when lo one was smaller! Would of saved a lot of trips half asleep to the kitchen! Will definitely be buying it for the second!

I love mine :) the issue you will have buying one in the UK and using it in america is that it measures in UK fluid OZ which are different from the US Fl OZ which would mess up how many scoops you should be adding to each bottle.

Lo is 4mths so probably no point now :( and we use neocate which has to be made with boiled and cooled to drinking temp before adding powder so worried about the hot shot, but, for standard formula and a newborn? Go for it!!

Out of stock in amazon mind!!

Just ordered this, I've had to start some formula feeding unexpectedly (loads of problems with breastfeeding) so this has enthused me a little! Plus it will be easier for relatives to do too x

Well it arrived today, bloody thing faulty...got half way through the cleaning process and the huge on/off switch does not react/work.

ToysRus order. Already stating out of stock on website so no doubt they'll fob me off now with it can't be replaced as they've run out :( Waiting on a reply now.

x

Picked one up today in Toys'r'us, was going there to get it anyway and even better with £30 off!

It will hopefully be a lifesaver with twins on the way! x

There were some at Purley Way Croydon store, so tell them to send one from there! xx

Thanks for that! they are not being overly helpful though, doubt they will go to that effort based on the replies I've had. I told them the problem, and my concern that they may fob me off with "now out of stock" etc and that I really want the item. Completely dodged the question! Just emailed telling me how to return a product, which I can find out from the website anyway. Emailed back to them saying I understand the returns procedures, but can you answer my question, really want a replacement, will it happen etc, still dodged. Been in touch with Tommee Tippie directly and may have more success...seems more promising so far.x

It's nearly half price now? Does anyone happen to know what temperature the shot of hot water is? We use hipp organic which has to be mixed at 40-50 degrees. I'd happily change LO formula though to use this machine! X

I believe it's 70 degrees :0) x

My replacement machine arrived yesterday and so far no problems

I just fill botles up before bed, keep in flask and add the powder (already measured) as needed. Takes me like 20 secs and its free!?

How long before that feed ? As the temp of the boiled water has to be a certain temp for the powder, the time consuming bit is cooling it for baby to drink

I do it as she needs it. I've never known a problem and always made them like this. I think scaring people is a manufacturers dream to make you £££

My OH just picked one of these up. We havent tried it out yet but he is very excited as he now has a new gadget to play with.

Its £30 off in babies r us and if you pick up their in store catalogue it has a voucher for £5 off if you spend over £50. I know its only an extra fiver but every little helps!

I know there are mixed views on the machine (on here, Amazon, or wherever), including many fantastic reviews and those who deem it totally unnecessary, lazy, whatever. For the latter, I can't help but feel "Don't buy it then!".

If an idividual feels a product, whatever it may be, helps them in any way along their parenting journey, I say go for it. There are products on the market I have thought 'over the top', for instance a wipe warmer. But screw it, if that product helps keep a particular parent and baby happy then great..they can spend their own money on what they like.

Ours arrived yesterday and was faulty! :-( leaking out the bottom and the shot of hot water spraying everywhere. Replacement on its way - hope it was a one off! X
