The Great Sperm Race!

I couldn't sleep last night and feeling really stressed out with TTC, so i watched the great sperm race on channel 4's 4od site! ( like an iplayer service).
This programe showed the sperms journey to conception! scaled up to man size. Just the sperm getting into the cervix is the equivalent to a person climbing a ladder a mile high! (1 km). I'm amazed that anyone gets pregnant espcailly with such a small time frame!

We just watched this together on YouTube last night and it was mesmerizing. DH was especially fascinated. It did explain some things that I did not know as well and was helpful and made me feel better after getting AF again after trying.

I was reminded of that show "in the womb" by national geographic. It was so interesting. Not only a show of human babies, but they showed about dogs and other animals on separate episodes. I searched it on youtube, and it is on there.

When I googled it, i can view it on the net but it seems like it was on TV some years ago so perhaps that why Virgin didnt find it.

ive watched it before but just watched it now again; it makes me feel better knowing how difficult it is in a way when af arrives and i think, how comes im not pg? we did everything right? it just goes to show there are so many obstacles that you might try and do everything right but it really is out of our hands xx

Ha cheers for this...got another 5 days before AF is due and driving myself insane with all the symptom spotting...its a wonder how people get pregnant at all, tiny timescales and a lot of luck!
