The Happiest Baby

Thanks for this post, I've now added The Happiest Baby to my Amazon shopping list and will get it next time I order.
I've already bought a ring sling, but this inspired me to google instructions on how to make a baby wrap (like a Moby). They're so simple that rather than ordering one, I'm going to go hunto for good fabric and make one myself.

Maybe post a pic of your first homemade sling? You might get some orders and start your own little business!

Looking good Tezzy!

I struggled a bit too at first. But after I wore her for long periods I got used to it.

Hope you like it eventually :) Looks like Ffion doesn't mind it !

i wore rhys from when he was a baby but ive only ever used slings and mei tais so this is a bit different. ive been wearing Ffion for most of the day and she doesnt mind it a bit

we are sling-wearers and I must say with seven and a half months age Juleika doesn't cry a bit! if she gets hungry she starts to say "muuum", "muuum" as I carry the milk ;) and if she is tired she starts to complain, but she never cries!

even our dentist said - when he had a look at her gums - that she is a very happy baby :happydance:

This is a great thread, that moby sling is just what I have been looking for. It is going to be the first thing I buy as soon as I hit 20 weeks!

Is it too late to start using a moby? - I think both Jack & myself would benefit from getting one, but (this may sound silly) I'm a bit worried whether it would make him too reliant on me & stop him going to sleep on his own at night, playing on his own in his gym etc
Another thing I'm worried about is whatt would happen if you were to trip over with baby on your front:blush:

no its not too late at all! i started wearing rhys when he was around jacks age

Read the following article by Dr. Sears. There was a study done in the 70's that showed there was no correlation between holding and attending a fussy or crying baby and them being spoiled or too reliant later in life. In fact it DID show those babies that were attended by their caregivers immediately to not really cry as older babies and toddlers.

If you're worried about baby on your front, wear him on your back :)

Thanks for replies - it is good to know that it is not to late to start. I am a strong believer in picking baby up & holding them when they cry, so there are no worries there - I spend quite a lot of the day holding him that is why I think we we would benefit - he would get the attention he wants/needs & I can get on with he things I need to do which I am currently finding hard with my husband working away.
As for the falling over question - I don't think that really matters - have thought & if you do actually trip over it would probably be worse if you were just holding the baby:blush:
Which are the best, been looking at the mobys & they look quite reasonable, & finally anyone know the best place to order in the UK?
Thanks again:happydance:

How ironic! I've recently purchased his book and have been reading it. Makes a lot of sense.
