Gah! I hate the job centre. It is so completely useless. I am six months pregnant for gods sake, who the hell is going to employ me?!
I work part time and get jobseekers to top it up. I literally get £15 a week from them, its hardly worth it.
I went in this morning for my quarter to ten appointment only to be told that upstairs where apparently now i have to sign on, isn't open until 10:00. Why book me in for quarter to then? Grrr
And now i'm trying to claim Maternity Allowance, i've been given a horrible form i don't understand and i have to provide payslips which i dont get!
Its just another corporation that doesn't actually care about anyone!
Oh and when i got home my key wouldn't work in the lock and i had to wait an hour for OH to get back.
This is me seriously pissed off! :growlmad:

Rant over, sorry girls ..xx

Ooooooh don't even get me started on the job centre! My nearest one is about 18 miles away from where i live and i told them i'm getting no money to pay for transport to get to meetings etc for the job centre untill they sort my claim out and pay me and the women turned round and told me to walk there and back! Im 19 weeks pregnant for goodness sake do u really think i want to walk that far .. Grrrrrr they annoy me! x

they are so annoyeing i hate my job center they are no use if you get stuck with the forms go to citizen advice as they might be able to help you fill them out and ca nyou not get a copy of you r pay records from work and tell them that you dont recieve payslips as this might cover that base or take in a bank statement for each month

ugh I hate the jobcentre, and in my job I had to go there 2 days a week! I hate the people that work there, before I saw it from behind the scenes I always thought it couldn't be as bad as people make out.. but it really is! sorry to hear you're having a nightmare with them :hugs: xx

Its just standard protocol to stop people scamming the gov... i applied for maternity allowance and its not that complicated when you get going... it just looks that way... i never had any of my pay slips laying around after i left my job so i had to ring up the businesses accountants up they sent me all my wage packets and ive sentit off now just waiting

:haha: I dont think i know a single person who's had a positive experience with the Jobcentre!
My boss is trying to sort out some kind of payslip for me, i get cash in hand see? With absolutely no record of payment! I feel so sorry for him, he's been an amazing boss and i just feel like i'm putting him through a lot atm..xx

there is a box that u tick to say u dont get wage slips. do u want the direct number for maternity allowence to speak to them over the phone. i got that, and they helped me do the form over the phone. but u know what.. i hate them too, i waited 10weeks for my maternity allowence to sort out, finally got a letter back wednesday to say they've back dated my money but will take 6 workin days to reach my account.. still waiting now.. but be worth it cos they put they back dating me just short of £1,000 :) xx if u want direct number for it let me know though xx

direct number for maternity allowence just in case: 0845 608 8780 cos im going soon. hope it helps :flower:

i wouldnt tell them u work though and get cash in hand chic, cos then they could get picky! cash in hand and nobody knows about it ;) xx

I hate the jobcentre. I'm over 26 weeks now, and swap over to income support when i'm 29 weeks. They told me the other day they want me to do a 2 weeks training thing miles away from my house every single day, starting beggining of September. Which means i'll be about 28 weeks. Why do 2 weeks training in how to write C.V's and appearance when going to an interview, when i come off of jobseekers half way through the training? grrrrr, i feel your pain babe, stupid stupid jobcentre. :flow:
