Well, I've just given Byron his last BF. Some of you may remember a thread a couple of weeks ago about stopping. We've been down to one bedtime BF for about a month and a half but I've decided to stop now. I feel kind of sad. It's been a real rollercoaster and I nearly gave up a few times in the early weeks. Byron's latch has always been appalling and since he started on solids it's got even worse. He's cut a tooth now and that is rubbing quite a bit so I've decided to just go for it now. I've one bottle of EM for him to have tomorrow and then that's it!
Not looking forward to the full boobs!
I think I probably feel more sad than he will. He'll probably not care. He gets lots of love and cuddles all day so I don't think he'll miss this one feed. After all the ups and downs of BF these 8 months I do feel a bit sad, like he's a big boy now! But we can't keep them newborns forever. One day he'll be a big grown up with kiddies of his own.
