The start of Colic?

I dont know if it is..

Maisies usually good with her wind, burps after most feeds quite easily, but over the past 2 weeks shes been quite bad. We have to stop anywhere between 5-10 times between each bottle ( 6oz ), and shes so hard to bring it up. We'll burp her, go to give her the bottle again but shell not take it and cry and throw herself about as if shes got wind, so i wind her again but it takes a good 10-20 minutes to get even a small burp, and even then sometimes she still has wind so wont take her bottle, i think she gets fedup in the end because shes started to go to sleep and not finish her bottles.

I bought some gripe water, but the 2 times i gave it too her she was sick straight after so is stopped that, ive been giving her infacol and it seems to help a bit but not too much as shes still got the problem..

She does have any crying periods really apart from during her bottles when she has got wind.. is it colic? Is there anything else i can do/give to her?

Josh had it really really bad. Then we found Detinox!

It really helps, you just put it in there milk. Its stopped him from getting trapped wind whilst feeding and he's bringing his wind up loads easier too. You can get it from Tesco or Boots x

Olivia is the same!! About the same age as Maisie and she was great with her wind, dead easy to bring it up! We'd sit her up and she'd burp on her own and we use Infacol....but now all of the sudden these past few days have been a living nightmnare!! She's been screaching in pain and we have a major witching session! We've up'd her dose on infacol to two before her feed and hopefully that'll help shift things!

Will be trying the gripe water tonight if not!!

I really really hope itr aint colic!!!

Dentinox is good for bottles and I also use gripe water (give it in the end of the end slow teat). When she doesn't bring anything up half way though the feed, we give her gripe water and try feeding her again and then if she fusses I'll burp her and she brings up a huge one!!

You could try changing her bottles, Oliver started having problems with wind, we were using Tommee Tippee bottles and changed him onto Tommee Tippee Anti colic bottles, they have a vent in the middle of them, they work brilliantly, we also use Infacol just to make sure and he is so much better. Hope this helps , take care xx :hugs:

Could also be a milk allergy. Might try some Nutramigen for a couple weeks and see if the troubles stop

We've started having trouble burping Ruby, and also she's started leaving some of her bottles. I was wondering whether the teat is too slow and she's getting frustrated.
Also, correct me if anyone knows differently, but i really don't think colic starts now? I thought it started by 2-3 weeks?

If she;s getting frustrated it's worth a try going up a teat or to a vari flow, Isobel had the same problems and now she is much better on the next teat and she's easier to wind! Does some adult size burps which makes me laugh.. Colic can start from any point really, Isobel had it from two weeks... and she suffers bad attacks every now and again.

i switched to tommy tippee anti colic bottles too there brilliant and grace brings up wind fine! xxx
