The time has come for the journey to really start..... NEED HELP!

I have my journey here.

I called my apartment today and Im #3!!!


I go tomorrow for my interview and to find out when exactly ill move in. I NEED help though!

When exactly do i tell DH? (he knows i want to move out but hes in denial and will throw a fit). What do i tell him? How do i move out? All at once or a few trips to make it easier on the kids and DH (minimum contact=less fighting on the way out the door)? When do I file for child support? im not filing for separation or divorce right away.

I would have it all planned out first. How you're going to move i.e with a private company, a friends van or a van a rent, what time you'll start, who's going to watch the kids etc and then sit down and tell him a few days before so you can talk about it. Don't tell him on the day so it's a big surprise and he'll freak out if he thinks you went behind his back and are just running off with the kids. Tell him you need some space and to work things out alone before you can be together again. Agree when he'll get to see the kids etc. Talk about what you plan to do whilst you're apart so he can start thinking about what he needs to do and don't let him sweet talk you in to staying.

Don't leave anything you want behind.

My mom will help me move. I will do it during the daytime and hell sit there i guess, lol. Ill take the kids and he can see them whenever. I dont want to be a B* about that part (unless i need to be). Hes a good dad but hes not exactly the fatherly figure so i doubt hell even take them. I am taking everything except the bed or couch, island, desk and computer + 3 dogs and 1 cat. Thats what he agreed to.

Hes been pretty agreeable but its awkward.
