Yeah mine was at the beginning too - literally first 5 minutes. I feel really sad. It's weird because its just a driving test, i had no idea i would feel so depressed!!! My next test is Nov 3rd! Ages away. xx

Yeah thats when most people fail, its down to nerves :/ ...btw can i ask did your examiner have your age circled at the top? mine did but i dont see how thats relevant to a test and why he should even be allowed to know my age? And yeah its sad when you fail but just think when you do pass you wont even care how many times it took, everyone gets their license at the end

My age is not on there at all? That's weird, how old are you? Im 26 :\
I feel under pressure to pass because my theory runs out in Feb - if i dont pass next time [Nov] ive only got time really to squeeze in one more test since they seem to be 2 months apart!! then my theory has expired! Dont want the stress of doing that again.... Its hard to stay calm!! Lol xxxx

I'm 18, And he had that circled at the top of the page, beside my name :/ It really annoyed me i didnt see why he would even need to know my age
Oh that would be scary, im sure you will pass by then though! But don't put pressure on yourself, my SIL was the same she had her test August last month and her theory ran out in october so she cut it quite close but she did it and so can you!!

No idea why he circled your age though!! Ask your instructor? if he knows?
I know, i'm consoling myself with the fact that i only had 1 minor, i know i am a good driver! Just got to kick the nerves!!!!! xx

I may ask my instructor oh my OH will know how you feel! He got 1 serious at the begining and 1 minor after that too! They should really give you the benefit of the doubt

Agreed! nah he failed 2nd time too, the worst thing is it was 1 serious and one minor...again!!! he was just angry the second time but i think he will pass third time, our new test times are less than 24 hours apart :O hopefully we both pass this time

Sorry to hear you failed Leafy! Some examiners need their heads read. Especially when you only had 1 minor.

I'd definitely complain about your examiner Kiki, in my two tests, not once was my age written at the top and circled. That sounds like descrimination. Not on! xx

Thats what i was thinking, i did fail and it was my own fault but i have a feeling i wouldve failed even if i didnt make the serious mistakes :/ It was written on his but it wasnt on the copy i was given, i will ask my instructor if he noticed it and if he did i will...only once i pass am i hell having another test with the pr1ck while i have a complaint put in against him would be too awkward!

The problem also is that you can't even request to have another examiner on your test which I find really bad, especially if you've had the examiner before and there's bad feeling, they say that they're there to assess your driving and such, but I honestly do believe that a lot of them play God and get a little bit too personal with how they assess you and it shouldn't be like that at all.

I hope you get someone different. I had 2 different examiners on my tests. Wonder if I'll get one I've already had or someone different.

I hope you get someone different too! It would just be awkward with someone who has failed you before. I never want to see that examiner again, ever! i'de probably be busy giving him the evil eye to concentrate on my test but then again if i get him and pass then they might take my complaints once i've passed more seriously?

I won't mind too much if I get an examiner I've had before, but I'll feel like the pressure is on me a bit more to prove to them that my driving has improved enough for me to pass. I don't really know what's worse in this case, having someone I've had who can gauge how much I've improved or have a clean slate with someone who's never assessed me before.

It's a tough one and given that none of my examiners were that awful, both were friendly, just the 2nd one was a bit of a wimp, I wouldn't be that upset if I got one of them again. I'd just prefer to not have the pressure of having to up my game to prove myself to them once again.

The woman i had wasnt friendly at all, she was stonefaced and didnt put me at ease at all! I mentioned it to my instructor and he said theyre not there to be friendly or chatty...but c'mon, in such a stressful situation for many people you'd think they'd be a bit more...human, lol. Mine seemed like she was on a power-trip. Really annoyed me! I hope i get someone different.

It's going to be tough for some of them to actually have to fail you and I'm sure some of the students have let rip into them over it, so it's kind of trampled on their nice nature, but I'd think those cases are few and far between.

Sometimes, there are just people on a power trip thinking they're God!

Mines a week away and I'm just dreading it. Not excited over it in the slightest.

turns out the 18 circled was the route i was on so that makes me alittle less pissed off.
Must say im very emotional today, on my lesson i went when i shouldnt have on a roundabout which is what i failed on ... feels like i just suck right now ...i know im being over dramatic but cant help it started college too and the workload is massive and im with the same girls from last year

Had a mock test with my instructor today and for some reason, I kept fluffing up with the gears. For eg, I'd sometimes stay in 3rd gear rather than dropping down to 2nd when coming to roundabouts and the car would just make it round without stalling but was struggling.
Then he said to turn right at the top of a hill and I could not see the road until the last minute, so I had to slow down really quick and should have really gone into 1st gear for that.
I need to stay on the left when going round bends to the right where there are no road markings.
I'm really nervous and freaking out that I'm going to fail again.

Phew! At least it wasn't your age he'd circled so that's got to be good.

Just get your driving instructor to take you over loads of roundabouts so that you can get yourself out of the rut that you seem to get into when you get to them.

That's what my instructor is going to do with me on Thursday, go over everything I've failed on over the last two tests.

My test is only like 2 lessons away, next lesson he is deciding if we need more time and i think he will...i want a whole lesson dedicated to roundabouts, and want to do all the manouvers and if i keep the date its at i dont think ill have time :/ x
And i have those days too, but doesnt everyone have an off day? im hating lessons i dread it before hand and once its over i dread for the next one! x
