"They're meant to have little pot bellies at this age" True?

Rory has a pot belly but is on about the 12th percentile and the GP says his weight is perfect. I wouldn't worry! It's when it's actually fat that it's worrying. A lot of toddlers get big bloated tummies.

Love the pot bellies :). I remember still having one when I was probably 10 (and very slim otherwise) - my sisters used to tease me about my "baby fat"!

I think it's partly because of their posture. Toddlers naturally have lordosis, where the curve at the small of the back is more pronounced, making their tummies stick out more.

Love pinching my son's pot belly! (that almost auto-corrected to punching lol)

Holly is so tiny but she still has the biggest pot belly, it's so cute!

Lol sheldonsmummy good job you noticed that before pressing send!

Both mine had pot bellies with their ribs showing. My daughters is gone now she's almost 6 lol

Yep, so bad it ruined outfits. Now, aged 3 he has leaned out and its gone.

I think it depends. People used to say that about my DD all the time - but she's now 8 and a half and definitely overweight. We're trying everything we can to combat it.

DS1 and DS2 have never had pot bellies.

Yup normal, Maria had a pot belly (its starting to disappear now although it is still there a bit, especially after meals)
