I need to move forward before I get so depressed and end up divorced and then well and truly alone. I have the following plan for next month:

-Join gym
-Take a week off sick
-Go shopping with my kid sister ...get her to to stay over for a week while OH away for work (she has no clue....so I won't be able to obsessivley talk about it...will be forced not to think about TTC)
-Try to learn to live again....how???!

-After I have not thought about TTC for a few days....get info on private IVF. Make appointments and not chicken out and go for it.
-NHS is shit
-Take metformin

-Have accupuncture?
-Wait to see consultant on Aug 14th about what to do next (NHS....its shit...I won't budge until I get a proper discussion...I don't care if its not private....I pay enough bloody taxes...I'm entitled to this treatment)

Anything else I could do??

Geez...I am so sorry to hear about the IUI outcome. I have been in your shoes, so know you are not alone. The best thing I could do was to allow myself time to greive. Instead of forcing myself to push forward and ignore my emotions, did not help me at all.

I say...take time to accept to outcome...be :hissy:....be ...whatever you need to be. Then focus on the next step..

I hoep this helps.

I know the feeling all too well as I've had 3 failed IUI's myself. All I can say is, it hurts like all hell, and it gets better, but the pain never really goes away, I guess you just learn to deal with it better.

I took time to myself and didn't think of TTC for a little bit, then decided on IVF so I'm in the middle of that. I found that just taking a time out, taking a break, and regrouping does wonders.

:hugs::hugs: Lots of luck on your TTC journey.

Hello

Having just finished my first failed IUI and had the most painful AF ever I know how you feel. Personally I've got straight back on for another cycle which will bring us a step closer to the IVF which we have luckily been told we won't have to wait for.

IT nearly broke my heart this month and I have decided to cope by not telling a sole this time around. I've decided to tell people we are on a break from TTC, I'm sick of everyone thinking they have a right to know whats happening in my menstrual cycle and can't bare the look of disappointment when they realise another month has passed with nothing.

So apart from keeping quiet I am also coping by getting on with life. Planning the next holiday / weekend away and not thinking "we can't do that because we might be pregnant".

We've been spending more time together just enjoying impromtpu nights out and things that we wouldn't be able to do if we had a baby.

Hope that helps.

Millnsy x

Yeah definitley....I feel like that too. I think I will tell my mum and sis and anyone else that wants to know that we are not trying. Cos the added pressure is just too much! I had initially thought that if I told people then that would help and they may provide me with comfort and ideas....but instead everyone is watching my cycle and I feel like an even bigger failure not only to my husband but to them aswell!

I like the idea of doing stuff that you cant do if had kids....I will def try that one.
