I think this might be my last thread in the 1st trimester. My doctor thinks I'm going to miscarry. My hcg levels only rose by 300 in 48 hours (1439 - 1700)
My scan showed a gest sac with a yolk sac (yolk sac wasn't there 3 days ago) but the gest sac measured a week behind dates at 4.6 when I am 5.6 weeks now. Anyone think I've got any hope? :nope:

I am hoping for you!!! I think as long as they are going up then you should be fine!! :hugs:

I don't know. But wanted to send you all the best wishes i can. Massive hugs. Xxx

Dont give up yet!!!! Lots of hugs and prayers for a sticky bean!!!

I'm sorry, it doesn't sound very good really and it is awful being in the position you are in.
However, I think at that early stage it is hard to tell for sure what is going on. In fact I think scans before 7 weeks at the earliest often panic people for no reason. It is easy for your dates to be out for a bit. Are they doing another blood test to see if it picks up at all?

The fact that your yolk sac has turned up is excellent news. That rules out a blighted ovum where an empty sac grows but nothing in it.
It is possible that things will turn out to be ok, but just a bit behind the dates. If the hcg continues to not double, that is less likely.
The only thing to do now is to wait and see with your fingers crossed.

You may not be as far along as you first thought you were....

Guideline to hCG levels during pregnancy:

hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :

3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml

* These numbers are just a GUIDELINE-- every woman’s level of hCG can rise differently. It is not necessarily the level that matters but rather the change in the level.

There's always hope! Thinking about you and baby!

Thanks everyone, my doctor just called me and said to carry on with the progesterone and wait it out for 10 days! 10 days! He said that he never shuts the door on a pregnancy just like that, especially with the yolk sac, and there was one case he knew of which was like mine and succeeded. So what can I do, I don't really have much choice do I? I don't think I am going to get another hcg test, well he didn't mention it. I really don't think I am out with my dates. I think he is just going to see what's on the next scan. x

i am in a similar situation. Scans shows I'm less than 5 weeks when I should be 7. Its possible we just ovulated really late.
