Well I had another thread and some of the ladies gave me some amazing advice....

So i went googeling and me and hubby went thru all the symptoms and i scored like 12 out of 20... so i am going to my GP tomorrow to get the tests done and take it from there....

I mean i excersise every single day for 45 minutes I run 3km a day I drink tons of water and I am not losing weight, I have altered all my food and serving sizes and by now I should have atleast lost 6-8 pounds in the past 4 weeks but instead i gained 4 pounds??!!!!

It just doesn't make sense to me....

WHAT DO YOU GIRLS THINK??????

Thyroid or Not Thyroid????

My husband has recently been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid - he had put on A LOT of weight over the last couple of years, was very depressed, tired all the time. I've also been trying to lose weight and it's just not going and my thyroid has been checked and is fine.

It's definitely worth getting checked though, especially when it's just a simple blood test. I hope you get some answers xx

Definately get it tested and treated hon. I was first tested in 2000 due to irregular cycles, weight gain/struggling to lose, constantly tired, prone to being cold, and easily confused. I wasn't given my result, which was twice the level it should be, until the symptoms remained 3 years later.

If you have a link to that checklist, I can give you an idea of how many I definately had pre-diagnosis to give you a comparative idea?

Thanks for the replies girls..
Went to GP today and discussed the problems, and I scored like 12 out of 20 symptoms for hypothyroidism and had bloods taken 3 tubes for TSH and T3 and T4 results..
GP seriously thinks my thyroid is the route to my problems as i even have the horrible little brown blemishes between my breasts to go along with the list of symptoms...

He couldn't believe that I would gain like 4 pounds in one month with daily excercise and healthy eating and being on weight loss perscribed meds...

So will have results tomorrow and hopefully this will be the solution to all my problems....:hugs::hugs::hugs:

I have been diagnosed with Wilsons Syndrome. my test were all normal. have lots of symptoms and low temperature. I can tell you that some docs dont believe this without an abnormal thyroid test, but I do. I feel it everyday.

Thanks girls...

Got my results and my thyroid is a little lazy bugger...
Starting thyroid meds tomorrow.....:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Great news that you've found an answer. Hopefully once it's stable, it will help with the TTC too xx

Yay! sometimes a not-good result is good, because at least its an answer :D Glad you got it done though

Might want to get checked for thyrpid antibodies too since if you have those you would be put on prednislone during fertility treatments. Thyroid levels should be kept to below 2 for acheiving pregnancy too. Hope this helps :)
