*think* I've just had implantation bleed!

This our 1st month ttc no 2, and I'm currently 2 days late although it's possible my cycle could have been a bit longer this month as I've literally just come off the pill. I tested on Sunday which was a bfn, but all day today I've had very sharp pains in my left side. Just been to the loo and there was one tiny dot of blood on the paper and then nothing! I have a very good feeling it could have been implantation. My question is, how soon would a test show positive if it was? I'm dying to do one but I've only got a couple upstairs so I don't wanna waste any

Ooh, sounds promising. I had an implantation bleed with my first (non-sticky) pg and it took me a week to get a positive test. I read, though, that they say an average of 4 days after the bleed.
