Thinking of ttc again after mmc

Four weeks ago, I went to the doctor and the baby was measuring 7 weeks, 1 day, instead of the 8 weeks 2 days by lmp, and had a heartbeat of 156. Friday at my appointment, the baby was measuring only 9 weeks, and I was 12 weeks by lmp, and there was no heartbeat. I have chosen to wait it out, at least for another 2 weeks, and take it from there. Doctor offered meds or a d&c, none of which I have ever had with any of my 7 other losses. I have no clues as to what happens with either one. We can't afford for my DH to take time off work for me to have surgery, either. Does anyone have any advice on these and ttc afterwards, especially after 40??

Hi there. I am so sorry for your loss. I don't have too much advice as I am trying to conceive after my first miscarriage. I just wanted to say that I do at least understand in a small way. I will be praying as you wait this out. I was in the same boat in July as I waited to miscarry and had no idea what to expect or when, etc.

I was in the hospital, via ambulance, on 8/6 with a massive hemorrhage that left me sprawled on the bathroom floor, barely able to speak or move. The ER doc was able to manually remove the miscarriage and the bleeding slowed to a light/medium flow and is now down to what you would expect on the last day of af. Testing with hpts to watch the line get lighter, and it's lighter today than yesterday so it's definitely dropping. Going to start using Women's Moon Cycle tea to help get it all cleared out and detox and then start ttc again. At 43, I don't have time to wait 3-6 months. Good luck to you on your rainbow baby. If I don't get mine, it won't be the end of the world with 6 children, 2 step children and 3 grandchildren, but it will be a dark place and sore spot on my heart.
