I cannot remember where I read this, but recently I read that someone was taking Maca root, it helped her get a BFP, but it was a chemical. She blamed it on the fact that perhaps she had stopped taking the maca root (I'm pretty sure this is what she said).

I'm also taking Maca root, and when I read that, it just made me think if not taking it through to a certain point would actually have anything to do with implantation and viability of the pregnancy. I feel like it doesn't, but I can't get that nagging question out of my head.

What do you say?

I took maca root when I got my bfp. I was really quite uncertain when I should stop taking it, myself. I stopped taking it all together at 7 dpo (the last day I took it). I didn't take it the day of O through 2 dpo and missed on 6 dpo, took on 7dpo and stopped.

I couldn't really find any conclusive answers on when to stop taking it, but there were a few people on here that pointed out that it's food, essentially, not a hormone, so it should have no impact.

I would say it has no impact on implantation or viability of a pregnancy. A chemical is usually more due to a chromosomal abnormality in the fertilized egg.

I'm on Maca and was with my daughter. I figure if I eventually get a BFP i will keep taking it because it has many health benefits.
