I'm not keen on Shay, especially spelt like that. Would be nicer if it was spelt the gaelic way Shea. Prefer it as a nickname for Seamus (which I like but DH doesn't) but of course it is your choice so if you are happy with it, go for it!

it's kind of like a tongue twister. When I first pronounced it, it was 'Shay Shonny'. That's all I've got hunni.
