If anyone has been keeping up, me and FOB aren't together..a few weeks ago after a slight disagreement he told me to f*ck off a die, to which I said to him, "you know when my scan is and you know when this baby is due, if you wanna know anything you have my number"

To which he cut all contact...Obviously I was gutted he had been so vile and nasty but such is life.

Anyway, went for my scan today, and I thought I would text him just to keep him as involved as I can from my side only, and he didn't reply.

So I wasn't sure if he had changed his number or not so my best friend BBM'd him (Blackberry messenger) just asking if he got the text, and he replied telling her to leave him alone.

I couldn't believe it. I thought when he found out he was getting another son it would make him come round, obviously not.

Is it wrong of me to give up? I don't want Elliot to grow up thinking I didn't try...

I think to save you the stress right now, you should do the same, cut contact but leave lines open so he can get in touch. If he doesn't get in contact, its sad but it speaks volumes. Chances are he'll probably have a change of heart down the line but don't stress yourself out chasing him. Like you said he's got your number.

I agree. I wouldnt bother to contact him no longer. Leave lines open so that if he does he can get hold of you but dont make the first move.

its not you who is givin up , if he wants to be involved in his childs life you have left communication open for him and the ball is in his court.

I just think if I don't try somemore my little boy will grow up thinking i didn't try but I don't know what else I can do, my mam said I should totally forget all about him, even if he does come running back in the future because after all the stress he has caused for me, would he be the same later, she said it isn't fair on Elliot if he keeps running back and forth

You can't do anything else hun, You just need to let go of this for now. Like Dave said, You haven't given up, the ball is in his court.. you've given him the chance and have tried to keep him informed. Its down to him now. :hugs:
