I have my 20 week scan today. I'm really not worried about the baby as we had a private scan at 17 weeks, and she pretty much unofficially performed all the anomaly stuff then. She had no concerns so I'm not expecting anything to be found with the baby..

But this is also the first of my 4 weekly scans whereby my cervical length is going to be checked (via internal scan) in view of a previous premature delivery (at 27 weeks), and my placental site monitored as it was completely covering the cervix at 17 weeks.

I just feel a bit nervous and I'm not sure why..! I know the placenta could still move later on if it is still low; I just know that if it's still THAT low, that's quite unlikely (and my consulatant agrees)... So I'm nervous already about potentially needing a Caesarean.
Also a bit worried about what my cervix will be like - even though they've never said that my precious history was down to cervical incompetence, so it'll probably be fine.

I've been really excited about today but now just feel really nervous - think it's the unknown more than anything else, but just wanted to offload..!

I had a cervical check today too due to a previous second trimester loss. Ultrasounds always cause me anxiety. I hope yours was ok!

How was yours Sweet..?

My placenta has moved..! Couldn't believe it, and neither could the doctor!
Cervical check was OK too (other than uncomfortable..!).
I kind-of knew it would be at this stage, but I'm sure I'll be a bit more anxious about it around the 27 week mark!
