I finally caved and paid out for a bottle as I'm at my wits end with little man's wind  Obviously I don't want to waste a single drop so I have a couple of questions for those using it successfully already:

- It says in the booklet to give to baby "on a sterilised spoon" (for breastfed babies) - has this worked ok? I feel like it would be easier to spill or for baby to spit out...I'd prefer to use a syringe. Has anyone else?

- It's overnight that LO tends to be worse. How have people got on with giving the drops (via spoon or syringe) for night feeds? I usually keep the room dark etc but I'm thinking it might be tricky to give the dose successfully that way.

Thanks in advance! :flower:

I used it but bottle fed - is expressing a little into a bottle an option for you? I used it every feed ( didnt read that bit oops!) but shes totally fine... It is expensive but works xx

We used it for a few weeks and all I did was pop a little breast milk in to a bottle as the drop and then draw it up in a syringe. I haven't heard of it being limited to 6 doses though? Plus you don't have to pay for it. We got out first bottle on minor aliments then on presciption. Personally I don't think it works for wind, we found dentinox and infacol were far better. Colief drops are to help break down lactose xxx

Thanks for your replies. Yep I realised yesterday the 6 doses/24 hours was the Dentinox drops (my sleep deprived brain)- I've edited the original post. Managed to get it on prescription today luckily. Just finished our second day of taking it - it's proving a faff in the middle of the night but (as it's working - yay!) we've only had 2 wake ups/feeds so not too bad. How do people give it when out and about? I wish the booklet had some info/suggestions - as the drops need refrigerating it seems like its not really possible to give them on the move?

Its not the drop that need to be I'm the fridge, its a safety precaution so you don't leave milk sitting out for the four hours it takes to work. For breast feeding you give 4 drops but only need 2 if putting it in the fridge for the 4 hours xxx
