Those who had 20week scans and had to be re scanned...

How long did you have to wait? We've been told it will be in about 2 weeks. I hope it's not that long! is that normal? X

They didn't finish all the measurements because of their positions at our 18 week U/S, but we already had a 20 week scheduled (as we have them every 2 weeks), so they're just going to finish it then.

Yes.... I had my 20 week scan at 19w4d but as baby was moving around too much they couldn't get the fetal heart connections so I'm scheduled to go back at 22weeks ! Apparently. That way, baby has less room to move about so they should be able to get a good shot!

Hey there! I had my 20 week scan on Feb. 5th. The Tech didn't get a clear shot of the kidneys. She saw them, but just couldn't get a clear pic. So, DH and I are going back for a re-scan next Tuesday (the 19th). My doctor's office wouldn't do it any sooner than 2 weeks. They wanted to make sure that baby is in a better position and a little bit bigger so that it will be easier to see. Plus, baby was breech so we didn't get to find out if its a boy or girl.....hopefully he/she will be more cooperative this time!

I have to go for a rescan next week. They didn't get a good look at the heart, spine and kidneys. It will be 3 weeks since my last scan.

I had to be rescanned with my DS because of the position that he was in. But they didn't make me wait, they told me to go and have something to eat and a drink and then told me to come back in 30 mins! I hope you don't have to wait the 2 weeks x

Yep I had to be rescanned as baby don't co-operate for the checks and it was exactly 2 weeks later.

They made me another appointment for 13 days later, so nearly!

I had my scan at 19 weeks, I went back at 22 weeks ( Wednesday). They needed to get a better look at the heart and spine. Took another hour to get get good pix of the heart, made me drink orange juice and walk around a few but baby finally moved. Dr had be nervous for a bit because he didnt say anything for like 20 minutes, but then was like "well I dont think there is any heart defects. All done!" and then we re-confirmed shes a girl. I had an apt with my OB today and she said she reviewed everything and all is normal. So it all turned out fine

Happened to us, too. Couldn't get good measurements of the spine and heart, so I too was scheduled for two weeks.

We just left our rescan on the 13th of Feb, and baby looked great!

Try not to worry sweetie, babies don't always cooperate

I had my scan on Jan 30th and they could not get a good view of the spine and I went back a week later feb 6 to get the final measurements.

My lo was covering her face and they couldn't get a pic of all four heart chambers so had to wait three weeks for another scan she still didn't cooperate so they had me upside down and all sorts to try and make her turn xx

We were asked to come back in 7 to 10 days but had to wait 14 coz no more available appts

I had my 20 week scan on Jan 25 and rescan Feb 12 so almost 3 weeks. They got good shots the 2nd time. I was worried about having a 2nd scan but they said they'd call me before the end of the week if I needed to talk to the dr about the results... No call! Yay!

I know it's a while to wait but I wouldn't be worrying during that time. They just want to be thorough with their pics
Of the baby... It's probably fine! And you get to see baby again, lucky!!

I had a rescan after 4 weeks, and I've got ANOTHER scheduled for 6 weeks after the first rescan. My baby is uncooperative!

Thanks everyone, I guess it's normal to wait 2weeks then. Even if it is annoying! I just hope baby behaves this time lol good luck for everyone having them coming up or still waiting hope you LO's co-operates xx
