I'm looking for some stories to give me hope really. I've had 2 miscarriages now, and am finding it hard to believe that 2 is just bad luck rather than this being something thats going to happen over and over. So has anyone got any nice 'I had this many miscarriages before by beautiful baby' type stories for me? X

hi hun i had a dd in 2007 then after her i had 3 miscarraiges had lots of tests done nothing was found to be wrong i then suffered an ectopic`and lost one of my tubes i then had one more mc in march 2009 i was almost at the point of giving up thenfell pregnant in oct10 and have a lovely 7 month old son and am now ttc again keep your chin up its a horrible thing to go through recurrent mc and i wish you all thebest for the future xx

Not one of my own (yet, 5 weeks pg after MMC in June and very nervous), but one of my close friends had 3 miscarriages over a couple of years at different stages, all put down to 'bad luck'. She strongly felt that she would never have a child but her 4th pregnancy went smoothly and she now has the most wonderful,l cheerful, gorgeous 6-month-old baby boy. Whenever I feel scared or down I think of her and look at a picture of her son and am inspired.

i had 4 mc's and then went onto have luisa x

i had to inject daily with clexane and use hormone pessaries to substain the pregnancy and am now doing it for a 3rd time xx

I have had 3 losses, a MMC at 9 weeks, a loss at 13 weeks and a loss at 17 weeks. I am now 31+4 pregnant and hopeful!

Genie you will get there. I have had 2 mc's also. I have a almost 2 year old boy and am currently 34 weeks preg with #2.

I had two, close together before catching with my daughter. We had a trouble free pregnancy (no spotting, no problems, born perfect). We have since had one other loss and then gone on to catch with this pregnancy and it all seems fine.

I know how hopeless it seems when you lose that second. I honestly thought I would just keep miscarrying forever and that was my lot in life, but it can happen. I'm so sorry for your losses and I really hope you get your sticky bean soon

Hi,

I had my son in 2008, and then went onto have 2 mmc (1 in Dec 09, and another in Apr 10), I then started taking preconception vitamins and also hubby was taking the male ones. I had read that maybe it was due to not having the correct vitamins in our bodies, and also that men's sperm could be effected from not having enough zinc, which is why he started taking the mens version.

I fell pregnant again in June and am now 32 weeks pregnant and so far so good.

I've had two too. It took a while to get pg the second time. Third time was really quick, just one proper cycle after mc. Everything has gone well so far.

I felt exectly how you feel now - that how could it be bad luck. Youc an look into all sorts of causes and reasons but don;t forget - for a lot of people it really is third time lucky. I really hope it is for you too xxxxxxxxx

Please try and be positive, I had a miscarriage (6 weeks) after ttc for over 18 months, I got pregnant straight away after that and then miscarried that one too. (7weeks). My Doctor told me to wait a month and try again, I did and got pregnant straight away and that one stuck! He is now nearly 3.
So many pregnancies end in miscarriage, to us 2 seems a lot but some people have had a lot more. The doctor said they don't investigate unless you have had 3 or more because 99% of the time there is nothing wrong with you it is just one of those things. I'm sure things will work out next time for you.

Hi Genie, I had a mmc at 11 weeks before my beautiful son, then two miscarriages before getting pregnant with my daughter. I also had unexplained infertility and was trying for almost a year before having the miscarriages. I almost had given up hope but am now at the end of this pregnancy and very happy. You will get there, and take your time to grieve.

hi hon. I had two miscarriages in 6 months. I just got pregnant again 3 months after my last miscarriage and i finally have high doubling hcg and progesterone. It is early, but things are looking good. My RE put my on clomid and ovidrel and it did the trick! It will happen.

Genie - After two mmc's in August and December 2009 I had my gorgeous perfect little miracle 1 week ago today. Still cannot believe I carried her inside me for 10 (she was very late) months.

There was no rhyme or reason for my MMC's - I had a zillion tests and nothing came up, it was just that my first two angels didnt develop properly - hard though that is to accept.

My beautiful LO did make it though and there are plenty of others here who have battled much worse odds to get their little ones in the end
