Hello everyone. My name is Gemma and I recently (about 3 days ago) found out that I am expecting. Due in May.
I'm 16 years old and definately keeping the baby.
But I don't really know any teen mums very well so it would be nice to get to know some of you xx

Yeah I can imagine it would be. Aww yeah I can imagine, just when everything slots into place ! Well it was and it wasn't, obviously we didn't use anything and we were both aware of the fact that it could happen and didn't mind if it did or didn't. But it has and I'm happy! Just worrying incase something goes wrong, have that constant niggle in the back of my mind so I'm trying not to get too excited! xx

Thanks, yeah I can't believe I'm full term in 9 weeks and a day, seems like only last week I was having my first scan at 6 weeks 6 days. I thought this would be the longest 9 months of my life, but infact its been the quickest by far!

Well, no real name yet but my OH likes Alastair and I like Jonathan so we've got some ideas.

Do you lean more towards a girl or a boy?

I'm glad it's not just me then! Thats the thing I'm most scared of, naturally. No I haven't even seen my doctor yet as she is constantly booked up by people who have had a sneeze and paniced or something . I'm also kind of worried she might judge me :/ although I know she is a doctor and probably wouldn't. But I'm going to ring her and try and get a 'walk in' appointment tomorrow morning if my work will let me lol. x x

Aww I like both of those names, I'm sure it's hard finding something that you both like and because it's such an important thing you don't want to settle for anything other than your favourite! I know my partner is going to be a pain because he has never liked any of the names I like.

Well these last 3 days seem to have taken forever, let alone 9 months! lol.

I'm leaning torwards boy, but being a girl I would also be thrilled with a little girl . Apparently boys are easier though but I wouldn't mind!

Ofcourse she wont judge u, thats not her job or place to. U will get people judging you though but it doesnt matter what any1 else thinks.
Make sure u get one as soon as possible because she needs to prescribe u ur folic acid and get ur appointment with midwife sorted

Yeah, its one of the biggest things I've ever had to decide lol, its going to be his name for life so we have to be sure, although my OH hates most of my suggestions, the only ones he's actually liked are Alastair and Jonathan, however he only started liking Alastair when I'd started to go off it. Men! :doh:

Yeah I'd always had a preference for a boy, I wouldn't have minded a daughter but secretly I think I always knew he was a boy

Haha they are hopeless, don't worry you will find something you both like and agree on soon. I know it is a big decision and there are so many to choose from!

I am planning on finding out so I can sort of 'mentally bond', if you get what I mean. And also so I can have everything prepared for the new arrival! I know it would be nice as a suprise but it just seems less practical lol. was your plan always to find out? xxx
