This will be my second c section. My first one was after a hard 40 hour labour. By the time I went in I was exhausted and delerious from lack of sleep. They'd advised me this time I can choose a section or go natural but only gave me a 50-50 chance of succeeding natural because of last time.

I'm thinking I'll have a section but I'm getting so nervous about all the normal things girls worry about. The spinal, the cutting, recovery, the whole thing! Knowing I have to wait and be aware and walk in and have major surgery just freaks me out.

In a perfect world I'd plan a section then go into spontaneous labour the week before and have a successful natural delivery. Is that too much to ask for? Lol.

you can absolutely plan a csection then change your mind at the last minute if you want to so if your leaning towards a section then plan one you can always change your mind nearer the time if you want to dont pressure yourself to much i know its scary with my first one i had been in labour for hours aswell an when it got to the point where i had to have a section i was actually pleased cos it meant the pain of labour would be gone lol i was oblivous to everything with my second and third i was alot more scared as they were planned and i had alot of time to think about it and knew those times whats gonna happen exactly haha x

I am planning on c section this time after emergency one last time after being induced & painful contractions ( similar to you ) I am not worried at all, I am actually relieved that I can book it in & don't have to go through what I went through last time & just end up in surgery anyway, try to relax about it, just remember you were fine last time & you get to miss out on the horrible part , you can go & get your hair done before you go in& you will come out with your hair looking great for those first pics ( just a positive to think of - lol )

Hey that's awesome!! I always secretly hate those ladies that look so stunning after birth ;) now I can be one of those!

My friend did tell me that I can also have a good sleep and be rested and remember it this time which will be nice. Last time was fine but clearly I was exhausted and in pain and recovery sucked because labor wrecked my body and I had to recover from that as well (that's what I'd like to miss this time). I'd be fine with a terrible long hard labour IF it ended in a vaginal birth. That's where I get frustrated. Because they just can't tell me what will happen. I know birthing is so unpredictable and that's another reason to be nervous even with a planned surgery.
