I don't know anyone who has had more than two sections. Has anyone had a third or more? I'll be having my third section this Summer a little over two years from my last. What is healing from a third or more section like?

I'm about to have my fifth c/s! (and 3 were very close, you can see in my siggy)
I didn't really notice any difference in the recovery, maybe even it was easier because I knew exactly what to expect :)

This will be my 4th and final c-section, each time recovery has got easier. I'm hoping that continues to be the case! x

Thank you ladies for your replies.
This will be my final section as I will have four kiddos.

This is my 4th and final, and I found it gets easier the more you have.

Did you ladies have issues with having a thin uterus?
I keep seeing this a lot. After my first my uterus was in excellent shape. My section section was complication free. I was never informed that I had any issues in regardless to thickness. My former OB who usually only likes to perform two sections said I could have a third. I'll obviously ask, but I have never been told I have this particular issue.

This will be my 4th.

I must admit I did find my 3rd the most painful recovery wise, but the quickest. Probably because I had 2 other children to look after and got on with things sooner than with my other 2. But I definitely find getting up and moving as soon as possible helps loads! My only problem is, I try and do too much sometimes, which is what then puts me back a day.

I plan to be up and out of bed the 2nd my legs work again, and home the day after as I did with my last.

With regards to my uterus, I am a little scared tbh, as during my 3rd section the surgeon said my uterus was paper thin and she struggled to stitch it. (this baby wasnt planned at all after knowing this, and hubby has since had the snip!) But so far I've not had any problems pregnancy wise, so fingers crossed it will be fine.

i've always been scared of the thin uterus too. This is my third and I would love to have a fourth but that fear sometimes makes me feel it isn't possible. My dr. has shown no concern, but I have heard that it gets weaker every time. I have also heard recovery gets easier so I hope that's true. Know I recovered much better after my second than I did my first so here's hoping! :)

My first and second were 6 years apart. My second and third will be almost 2.5 years apart. I imagine that impacts things a little differently.

I have not but my sister had 3 and her 3rd she was actually hosting my bridal shower like 3 weeks later!!! She was able to get her tubes tied and because they knew it was her last they cleaned up the scar tissue and made her incision extra tiny because they knew it was the last.........she did push herself too quickly at first and paid for it by being bed ridden a few days...but overall recovery was definitely faster!

Hey Mrs N.

Just wondering how long between your 3rd and what will be your 4th c/s. Have they checked how thick your uterus is? Did they check it before you got preggo this time? I'm relieved to see that you are doing so well, I have had 2 c/s and recently just had a "mass" that went all the way through my uterus, they said it puts my risk as slightly higher than someone who's had 3 cs... I had my non-pregnant uterus checked a few weeks ago and my doc said still too thin to carry a pregnancy... I get checked again in a few months and I'm hoping to get the all clear!! Good luck!

I asked today because I was curious and I was told that my uterus is in fine shape. I was told if I wanted a fourth I would have to wait and see. It was quite funny because my OB and nurse thought I was asking because I wanted another baby already. I'll have four children by Summer. I think I'm set.
