Today, Violet picked Leo up and dropped him when I saw what was going on. The way she dropped him basically resulted in him being thrown on his face. Oi, older siblings! He cried a bit, but is fine, so no worries there.

Things are a lot better now than when Leo was newborn, but it seems like after the outright aggression went away, there's another level of roughness that's only going to improve with Leo being better able to handle it. I suspect it will be that way for a while. I wouldn't change the age gap if I could, but I certainly see the advantage of a bigger age gap!

So has your kid been thrown on his/her face anytime recently?

Poor Leo! Glad he is okay :flower:

My youngest is tough as nails, as is my second. They are both used to being stood on, bashed in the head, pushed over, hit with stuff (accidentally!) and wheread Paige cries at the slightest bump, the two littlies dont bat an eyelid. I dont think either have been thrown on their face though!

My dd did the same thing the other day! Sometimes I find it a bit exhausting because I can't turn my back for a second. She's constantly trying to pick him up if she thinks I'm not watching.
Her favourite thing is to try poke his eyes - especially if I'm holding him. It drives me batty!
Dd can be really cute with him. She often wants to hold him and give him hugs and kisses. But other times she is so rough!

Dd gets strangled frequently (hUgs) , and was once picked up in the middle when she was tiny and was bent in half backwards like a banana. Oh and our bouncer is adjustable so she's been clicked to bolt upright and flung forwards half hanging out ...
Stood on and knocked about a lot too ...

xx

Never thrown on the face but has had several chokeholds (hugs) plastic toys thrown into her cot onto her head (sharing) dragged off the sofa to join in dancing and so much more. to start with I was always watching like a hawk but things happen so so quickly!

Ds2 and ds3 have a close age gap and as such ds2 really doesn't understand babies. Unfortunately ds3 has had the odd toy thrown at him. And once nearly got sat on.. It's hard!

Sophie was sitting just before she was 6 months, and Thomas would often push her over backwards. I never left them alone so he didn't pick her up as a wee baby, but he tries to now and she's too heavy, so that is good!

Yesterday he backed into a lady baby wearing a newborn and her baby almost smashed into a table, I was mortified! She was quite angry.

My baby got stepped on the other day. Big sister got excited when she heard the postman and ran towards the front door without looking where she was going. Baby sister was on the floor on her mat and Big Sister trod on her tummy! Baby seemed more confused than upset!
