Hi ladies I've got thrush and it's driving me mad!! As it's the weekend so no docs til Monday and also I'd like to not take medications while pregnant if at all possible I'm looking for some home remedies that are safe during pregnancy. I've heard of putting a bit of garlic up there but is that really ok?!

Never heard of putting garlic up there! I've heard applying a little natural yoghurt to the area can help. Maybe google it?

Thanks. I gave it a google but I just wanted to know if people had some suggestions that were definitely safe during pregnancy. Like I read about tea tree oil helping but I wasbt sure if that was ok to use right now?

Theres a soap you can buy called wrights traditional soap ive used it and it worked.

I'm having it for now 2 months! Do tou mean the yeast infection? I thought the thrush was the infection in mouth.
Anyways, for the vaginal yeast infection over the counter monistat 3 is safe to use. I used it twice and mine just keeps coming back :(
Or can you call the doctor and ask? They should have some one available 24h

Monistat 3 is safe to use but I totally understand if you would rather use a natural remedy. Plain yogurt is the only thing that comes to mind right now. Maybe give your doctor a call? I hope it goes away soon! I had it in my first trimester. Soooo uncomfortable.

As it's not an emergency I'll wait til the morning to call the doctors but will try the yoghurt I think. Sounds messy but will hopefully be worth it and help a bit. Thanks ladies

I've heard natural yoghurt works too. I sympathise, I'm just getting over having thrush. It's so annoying and uncomfortable. Happens every time I'm pregnant without fail :nope:
