Does anyone else feel this way? I'm 4 weeks postpartum. Sometimes when I sit down I feel like it was stitched up too tight or something.
Also after sleeping, or during, I feel such an intense pain in my pelvis. Up near my clitoris.

Am I alone here? I'm waiting to see if this subsides before bringing it up to my ob.

I had a third degree tear and an episiotomy with my second and I was still feeling sensitive and numb at 4 weeks PP. It was definitely still obvious when I sat down as well. It took months for it to get near to normal and now that I'm 7 months PP it's still obvious to me that it's not quite the same. I'm not unhappy with it though and I don't notice it throughout the day any more. Giving it more time will help with general healing.

I didn't feel intense pain though at any point - if you are feeling intense pain that's never normal and you should get that checked out.

Ah okay. I suppose I should expect stitches down there to make it feel different lol
The pain isn't with the scar but I'll definitely bring it up next app in 2 weeks.

Took 11 weeks to settle. They told me the vast majority settles within 12 weeks I was lucky mine healed so quickly as I had horrific complications healing and they thought I would end up needing reconstructive surgery it was that bad but then it ended up being fine. Just give it time and see how it feels after 12 weeks.

I had a lot of intense pain too. I had over granulation. Some managed to heal over the granulation, some wouldn't heal at all it was so bad so I had silver nitrate treatment. The part that healed even with the over granulation caused a lot of nerve pain and I was still in agony until around about 9 weeks then it began to settle. The pain was all the way up from an inch or so from where the cut began to being level with the top of pubic bone on the entire right side.

It's the stiches healing and the skin tightning.
I'd a fourth degree tear on DS so I feel ya!!!!
At this stage call the postnatal ward in the hospital and speak to a midwife and tell them at 4weeks you still feel the stiches and there not dissolving and there really tight. I had some of mine clipped. I'd a scar across my butt cheek so I literally could only sit on one butt cheek for 2months.
In the mean time a hot bath as hot as you can take with Epsom salts they'll help with the tight stitches.
