iv realised dd needs new bottles as iv lost lids and need new teats and bottles scratched etc, i was wondering should she soon have her milk from a sippy cup?

she uses any sippy cup/nuby trainer thing for juice so is good for using them so is it worth me buying all new bottles for her milk?

shes nearly 11 months old and has around 3x7oz bottles of first infant milk a day x

i'd love to know too. our LO are only 1 day apart too

I've been fretting about milk in a cup recently. Bought a new handle-less cup especially but Sam hated it, Tried his afternoon 'bottle' yesterday in a free-flow cup with handles (which is happily drinks water out of at mealtimes) and he wasn't happy. Had about 1-2 ozs and then refused. When I offered him the rest in his bottle he downed it.

I'd experiment first with the cup as you may want to buy a few new bottles if he's not going to take to it quickly? Especially may be a while before you switch the bedtime bottle.

Been speaking to a few friends today and NO ONE seems to ever give up a bottle by 12 months, not even for the easy afternoon feeds. One (who I think is a fab parent and I look to for advice) said her 3 year old still has a bottle at night! (This is not something I will be doing but it puts 10mths old in perspective).

I think I'm going to wait a bit longer, maybe Sam will be ready himself. He wants to drink his milk himself which he can from the bottle (and it doesn't spill!) but he's not quite able to use a cup himself (just tosses it and it's contents everywhere) - will work on his cup skills more with water first I think. In any case will be a lot easier to manage the transition when he's on cow's milk as formula is such a hassle to make.

jake still has a bottle of milk at night. has a cup during the day though.
