We have been blw lo for a week and we're all loving it. He's having breakfast at about 7, an hour after bf, lunch at 12 about 2h after bf but we're not doing dinner yet (although he eats anything and everything!). My question is when to offer dinner? Bed time routine starts at 6.30 and I feed him to sleep at 7.15 (I know). Me and dh usually eat dinner when lo is in bed as dh usually home from work at 8pm. But I'd love to share dinner with lo. Any ideas? One other quick question- is it possible for them to over eat with blw? I'm worried we're going so fast but he never refuses and is still on 2h feeds through the night?! Thanks for your help!

I've also been wondering the same things as you! We're not weaning just yet but we often have our evening meal after LO bed as my oh isn't home from work till afterwards , also my LO feeds alot (bf) through the night still

We do dinner about 6, basically as soon as oh gets home. quick crawl around the lounge and it's time for bed time routine to start

We do her dinner about 5pm at the moment. I'd eventually like to move it to later, but bedtime starts around 6:30pm and she tends to start getting fussy by around 6pm. My husband often doesn't get home until about 6pm or a little before, but he has to shower first (he's a blacksmith so he's literally covered in dirt from head to toe! He isn't even allowed to sit down until he's clean!). What I've been doing is just having a afternoon snack at the time she has dinner, so that at least we're eating together. On the weekends, daddy has lunch and dinner with us, but it's not possible yet during the week. Eventually, I think she will tolerate staying up a little later, especially once she's eating more, and then we can at least do a snack with daddy before bed. We don't even cook dinner until one of us is putting her to bed, so for now, it just doesn't work.

LO has her dinner at 5-5.30. i eat with her but on nights my OH is round i'll just have a small snack type dinner - about the same portion as LO & then OH & I will eat later together..

bed time routine starts at 6.15 here, it always has done. when i first started blw with her she had dinner about 4.30 as she took longer to eat. but now she wolfs it down. xx
