can anyone give me some tips, i have started getting terrible back aches in my lower back and sides. usually if ive been sitting or standing too long. short of lying down and putting my feet up, which isnt always an option does anyone do anything that helps them?

the what to expect book has some stretches i guess i could try..

bit worried as the baby cant weighh that much yet and ill be sitting all day soon at college.

any ideas?

My lower back has been killing me too:hugs: I asked about it not too long ago and someone suggested a warm compress or water bottle with hot water in it so I tried it before bed and it did wonders! I had tried stretches, but I guess the way my back hurt and where, the stretches only worsened the pain. Try the hot water bottle, but not too hot, I almost burned myself!
I hope it gets better!:hugs:

Even a hot bath is excellant if you have access i love nothing more then a warm bath some sothing music and some smelly candles

thanks both the bath and water bottle are good suggestions

ooohhh take a warm bath then use the water bottle lol two in one night relief:) Heck, I might do just that today:)

I always sit with a back support at work, it's a half cylinder cushion. I've been getting bad lower back pain, it cost £10 from my physio department at my local hospital.

thanks mangomoo ill def try find something like it at college if the chairs are bad
