I'm in the process of trying to switch LO over to formula, but it's harder than I expected. I've been giving her a bottle at night the last 3 nights but she'll only take 1-2oz of it then just plays with it and bites on it and throws it around. Has anyone else done the switch and have any tips for me? Right now I'm using avent bottles, I have 12 of them so I don't really want to go out and buy different ones but if anyone knows of a kind that worked really well for you when switching I might considering trying something out.

What's the teat size you'r using? She might need a larger one. You can also try mixing her formula with some EBM & see how it goes. HTH xxx

I switched due to health reasons but LO was a lot younger than your daughter, we use TT closer to nature, they really suit her.

We're using the 6 month ones now, I'm not sure how to tell if the flow is enough though?
I wish I could mix with EBM, but I can't seem to pump anything out =(

Thanks for the suggestions so far :flower:

Same for me, I've had the worst back and knee pain since the day I gave birth and it's seriously making life torture. I can't take the medicine my gp wants to give me unless I stop though =(

TT CTN teats are softer than the Avent ones, they worth a try for BFing LOs. Or she might be teething, this is why she's enjoying biting the teats. You can try offering her smaller feeds more frequently until she gets used to sucking from a bottle, then up her feeds slowly. At her age the min required is 18-21 oz. Omar was taking around 15-18 oz at 6.5 months & we started weaning at that age. He was on 1 solid & 3 bottles only 5-6 oz each. He went on 3 meals with 3 bottles at 8 months.

Aw hun, it's a really tough decision isn't it!! But your daughter needs her mummy to be healthy! I had to stop when I was in hospital, I didn't get a choice on it really, but my daughter is thriving and doing really well on formula so I am happy!

I give Aria a bottle of EBM at night and have been using the Dr Brown anti colic ones and they seem to be working quite well.
