Looking for some advice from anyone with experience of giving the sachets. They need to be mixed with 15ml of water and I am finding it really hard to get my lo to take this amount of water. I've tried the spoon but most ended up down her or it made her choke. I've also tried a syringe but again made her choke and just as we almost finished she threw it all up along with her last feed. I didn't really want to give it in a bottle as she hasn't had one at all but is it the only way?? How have you managed it? Any tips for any method?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

If you were bottle feeding then it would be put directly into the bottle.
It's the volume of liquid that is important...

This worked for us:
Mix one (of the halves joined together) sachets with 5ml water to make the paste, then madeup the volume with expressed milk- at least 15ml and dripped it into the side of her mouth after the feed.

I'm not surprised that all the babies choke! Dip your finger in and try some- it's rancid ! At least the breast milk sweetens it up a bit!

We mixed it with 5mls instead as it is still very watery and he is ok with the taste. We use a syringe and have him completely flat back. Do 0.5ml at a time into the side of the mouth so it doesn't shoot down tge back and make LO choke. They can gag a bit but then still swallow so don't panic. My DS has really got used to it now and it goes down better. Good luck!

we did the syringe down the side of lo mouth little bits at a time. Im sure most of us would choke if someone squirted something down our throats when werent expecting it.
