I agree with LOTS OF WALKING!

I had to be induced at 38w3d with gel, and I walked and walked and walked. For me, it did the trick, baby was born 6 hours after contractions started!

I used evening primrose to ripen my cervix with my DD and I'm sure it helped, my MW said my cervix went lovely and squashy :haha: and flat. I also used clary sage oil- in the bath and as a massage oil (in a carrier oil) nightly from a couple of days before 40 weeks. I always got contractions whilst using the clary sage oil. Though I used it with my 1st and it had no effect. But I'd say it's worth a try, as long as you're OK'ed to use it (same with epo). Walking, bouncing on a birthing/exercise ball, sex :winkwink:.
Also getting really relaxed might help- babies tend to want to stay in if we're stressed out- no one wants that on their birthday right? :haha:. I've seen research which suggests that getting nice and relaxed can release hormones which tell your body it' "safe" to have LO.

'Ahem' you know what worked for us , went into labour a couple of hours after! Good luck :flower:
