TMI- Graphic Warning! Clot or what is this??

Hi Ladies

I apologize in advance for the photo but I am very confused with what this could be. On Monday I had 1 incident of bright red spotting all over toilet paper but the next day I had nothing at all. On Wednesday I got dark brown almost black like spotting and that evening I got what felt like AF cramps. When I was in the bath that evening, some water went "up there" and when I used my muscles to push the water back out, the brown like stuff came out along with the clot like thing in the picture. The brown stuff resembles what skin looks like if it peels after a sunburn, just dark brown. The clot though was not like that. It was solid like and resembled a sack with a cord? I had gotten a BFN that morning so cant be a chemical. The next morning I woke to the proper AF cramps and AF when I went to the toilet, only for it to go back to just dark brown black like spotting after the first tampon. So my AF lasted a whole hour this cycle! Is my body shedding its lining without bleeding? I have put yesterday as CD1 which is the day I had the AF cramps and bleeding but dont know what to make of the previous days stuff...

In case any ladies ever have a similar experience, my obgyn insists that it is nothing at all to worry about. He believes this is my lining that was shed (even though it was day before my period?) and that from now on I must consider my period as starting on the day of the dark spotting
