Will my Dr. strip my membranes still if I have a yeast infection??


I developed a bladder infection...
and the antibiotics for that has givin me a yeast infection..


I'm just miserable!
Those are just 2 more things to add to my ongoing list..

I'd really hate if it stopped my dr. from stripping my membranes though..
So frustrating...

I went for a sweep on friday (cervix not favourable) afterwards the midwife said she thought I might have thrush and as it isn't bothering me just to use canestan cream.

Mine is still very mild I've caught it early I'm taking acidophilus supplements (3 bil cfu) and yogurt to treat it!

Im using acidophilus and the canestesen thrush cream externally (which is 2% as opposed to 1%) and has worked really quickly.

Jollygood000- Yea acidophilus is great! I haven't heard of that cream.. I've been opening and mixing the capsule powder with plain live yogurt and using it as a topical.. so far so good.. if it gets worst i'll have to look into that cream is it otc?

I would be too except that I've found out it's extremely common..
Many many women have a reoccurent yeast infection throughout there pregnancy's and give birth wonderfully...
I know a few women myself who couldn't get rid of it..

I think they're able to give you the oral medication while in labor as it will have no effect on the baby at that pt. and usually cures it pretty quickly..
There's more of a risk of having a yeast infection progress during pregnancy than anything else..

It's actually a harmless condition, just extremely uncomfortable..

Oh i'll have to look around in the US...
But yea acidophilus is an otc supplement.. be sure you get at least 1 - 2 billion cfu (colony forming units) and make sure it's refrigerated otherwise your throwing your money away..

Oh also make sure there aren't any other probiotics in it as that could have the adverse affect in case of a yeast infection..
