So I will be 12 weeks in a few days... we had a 2ND ultrasound tuesday and baby looks perfect...and I wanted to start buying the main items like carseat and crib that do not depend on gender.. I need opinions.. too soon??

I started buying things at sixteen weeks. But that was just me. I bought a box and I keep all of my receipts partly to keep track and partly in case I end up not needing or having to exchange things. We aren't rich so being able to buy things slowly has been a big help. I would get started...

It's not too early :) I started doing that last pregnancy (my 1st) and I agree with PP- it really helped getting bits gradually. because the closer you get to Delivery the more small items you remember you need and its handy to have the cash for those little things too. Enjoy shopping, and congratulations :)

We've only waited to start buying so far is because we're trying to go through and get rid of DD's stuff first. We live in a relatively small 2 bedroom and won't be able to move until after DS gets here, so we need as much space as possible. Now that we're nearing the end of all the crap we've accumulated lol we'll be buying things gradually. Bigger things like the car seat, Tula, etc first, although we already know the gender we'll wait for deals for his clothes. :flower:

I think its only to soon if you're superstitious. I don't think it's too early, we bought a new travel system when I was 11 weeks. didn't get my scan till 14 weeks and everything looked fine.

I brought loadsome by 12 weeks, including the nursery furniture set. I say go for it
