My son has recently shows all the signs of being wanted to start solid foods, so last week I introduced him to the weaning process. Today is day 11 and he's suddenly refusing to take the food. I am a traditional weaner. He has been really good since I started and took to the solids well and progressed everyday, but today he's just leaped backwards and refuses outright - he shuts his gums together tight so I don't even have chance.
We had a few problems with his milk too...he was a good drinker but now he starts fighting after he's downed a couple of ounces - the rest becomes a challenge. I have to distract his attention while he drinks.
Is this normal behaviour, and should I just stick to the milk for now and lay off the weaning?
Have I done any damage by starting the weaning a little early?
Do you think the solids problem is related to the milk problem too?
I'm just clueless!
