To Lighten TTC Up! The thing we have done in our quest for children

So early today I was reading Cowgirls journal and read how her Dr. had commented if our future children knew what we were going through to have kids how grateful they would be. So that got me thinking about all I have done to in my very short journey TTC my child. Please add to this list!

1. Allowed a complete stranger put an ultrasound wand INSIDE ME

2. Taken pills to induce flooding periods!

3. Broke my rule about no male OBGYN Dr.s (seeing my first one tomorrow as he is suppose to be the tops in FS)

4. Cried enough tears to fill the ocean and said enough prayers to fill the sky.

- I have never felt around down there so much.
-Never have I ever looked up other women's CM to see if mine compares so I know how to record it on FF.
-Never have I stressed out about getting 3 solid hours of sleep so I can take my temp.
-Eaten the core of a pineapple to help with implantation (didn't help last cycle, crossing my fingers for this one).

I'm sure I can think of more later

Touched my own cervix, played with photo lighting for bfns, stick my legs in the air in awkward positions for hubbies swimmers to swim with better opportunities!!

- Closely studying photo galleries of cervical mucas for comparison
- Closely studying photo galleries of nipples for comparison
- Lifting my shirt up every time I walk by a mirror during the 2ww to closely inspect every single vein on my tatas
- Spending every single bathroom trip rubbing my cervical mucas in my fingers like it's silly putty...it's not silly putty, guys...it's not silly putty
- Putting little plastic cups in my girly bits to catch swimmers
- Literally having sex scheduled in my calendar
- Telling my DH he's more than allowed to pretend I'm Emma Stone if it helps him touchdown during my fertile period

Maybe I should do that! I feel like I'm putting too much pressure on my DH when I tell him we must BD everyday this week.

That's the hardest thing about TTC - for me at least - figuring out the happy medium that doesn't wear DH's willingness down plus not putting too much pressure on him. It's been a delicate dance I've been figuring out for the last 5 months with many trip-ups. There's been crying and there've been arguments and there've been fertile days wasted. It's so tough.

Come on to my boyfriend more times than I can count even when I don't feel remotely sexy! Needs must, lol. I still don't get how people keep sex sexy when they're ttc, it all feels a bit false and robotic

Slept upside down with my legs on the headboard.

Taken tablets regularly for the first time in my life!! My lovely vitamins and herbs.

Down right lied when people have asked me if I'm ttc.... I don't know why I feel this is totally private and don't want to share. Apart from here of course.

Inspected my boobs more than I ever have ever. And that's a lot.

Actually try to plan things round my fertile period so we don't miss any opportunity... Oh dear.

I'm really trying hard not to obsess. I'm doing ok. But I'm getting to the point where I just want something, anything, some progress....

BD'd on our friend's air mattress in their living room and in my childhood bedroom while my parents were sleeping in the room next door. Ugh! And I didn't even ovulate! I predict this'll happen again in the future too.

OMG, this is a great thread! I'm seriously cracking up at everyone's answers and will have several repeats on my list. This is great. Get ready for mine...we are NUTTY people! Ha!

• had sex doggy style every day during fertile period because i heard that's the best position for conception and told DH not to worry about me, just take care of himself...have done this quite a few cycles
• charting - never knew people did this (everything that goes along with full charting was crazy to me BEFORE)
• had DH meet me at home for a quickie at lunch because i didn't want to miss our window
• BD'd when we were both coughing up lungs sick because we HAD to...right? Ha! OMG! It was NOT pretty! SO NOT SEXY!!!
• checked CM several times throughout day, felt myself up inside and out
• Checked my boobs right at my desk to see if they were tender forgetting i was at work! thank God no one saw me!
• Totally plan every event around my cycle, everything is in my calendar regarding TTC, even SEX! I send calendar invites to my DH for sex on just the six days around O, he declines, ha!
• stand on my head of course after sex
• snuck using pre-seed once because DH doesn't like it but i thought we should use it anyway since i didn't have the "right stuff" down there
• i've taken cough syrup to get the right mucous, bee pollen crap in a jar, herbs and pills out the butt and funniest of all is geritol liquid

I have covertly snuck into the bathroom to put preseed in so that I could pretend the impending sex was "spontaneous"...then hid the applicator in the trashcan like I was a teenager hiding my stash or something. (; Try walking back into the living room all non-chalantly like, "oh look...I'm back from the bathroom and somehow have come back horny...weeeeiiiird.....Now take your pants off."

To turn up the bedroom factor on a fertile day, I asked my MIL for a cheerleading skirt she had jokingly bought for us from the local school fundraiser (DH made an embarassing joke comment once and I've never lived it down), hey, whatever works! (and no I did not tell her it was for ttc, just said since she had it I think we could put it to use).

This thread is hilarious! I was feeling very down today, as I'm pretty sure AF is on the way and I'm back to CD1, but reading all of this has cheered me up!

This thread is great

1) Checked my cervix and CM multiple times per day and pretending I think it's gross when talking about it with friends

2) Googled images and videos of other women's cm, cervix opening and bleeding (could never admit this one any where other than the forum)

3) Bought a vaginal speculum from ebay plus torch so I could look at my own cervix (and keep it hidden in my bottom drawer as I can't admit it to my OH!)

4) Lied about TTC and pretended not to be interested in pregnancy and babies ( I guess I don't want people to know we are TTC because then when we don't conceive I will feel like they are thinking I'm a failure!)

5) Taken heaps of herbs to try to stimulate ovulation

6) Planned sex around having EWCM

7) Shared the innermost thoughts that I don't even share with OH with the BNB girls

8) Spent hours researching pushchairs, carseats and baby stuff just for wishful thinkings sake!

9) Deliberately gone back to sleep and lost part of the day just so I could have 3 hours unbroken sleep to take my temp!

10) Pee'd in the OPK packet (and all over my fingers) as I was out and about and didn't have anything to pee in and was desperate to check!

11) Avoided certain foods like the plague (Soy!) even though I love them, just in case they upset my hormones!

12) Been a complete pain in my Doctor's butt asking for more tests all the time and not waiting patiently!

13) Stalking my pregnant friends on Facebook (especially their baby scans!) (and I don't know if I should admit this, but checking friend's pages who are in long term relationships regularly in case they announce pregnancies!)

14) Taking a little too long to walk through the baby section of the supermarket

15) Repeatedly squeezing my boobs in case they are sore!

16) Never taking pain relief for cramping because it might 'mean something' and I want to be able to chart how long it lasts!

Speaking of that, I just checked my cm and have to record it on FF.
I didn't even know that the cervix was something you could feel until I started TTC, and now I'm feeling myself up all the time. 'Does this feel hard like the end of my nose, or soft like my lips?'
