Today Im mostly craving... windolene!

could it be a citrus craving? lots of cleaners have citric ingredients, you could have something lemony and see if that helps! :) x

Hmmm, its not usually the lemony stuff like, its the chemically smelling stuff. My Mum has the Mr Muscle bathroom cleaner which is citrus based and I dont really like it... gimme the furniture polish haha x

Lemon cleaners with my son, the house smelt of lemons, every single cleaner that said lemon on it was bought (still have some lol).

This time really bad, i cant resist, im soooooo addicted, its a major complusion! Its bleach and milton (sterilising solution which is basically mild clorine) are the big ones. But detol. surface wipes, window cleaner, polish, carpet vac, silicon, vicks (had that one last time too).

Its so bad i actually had to resist drinking the milton solution or sucking on the sponge and that was after cleaning the kicthen and bathroom with it!

i have a vics inhaler along side me now and boy is it good. How the hell will i cope another 10 weeks without drinking something???? what the flip is my body lacking? although i am impressed with how well the house is starting to look.

Its joined together with a huge nesting period, so everything is being sorted or cleaned! eck!

Hehehe... thats the thing, we recently moved from a 2 bed to a 4 bed house and Im not kidding, Ive got it spotless... I hope this compulsion keeps up after Ive had the baby otherwise people will think it was just a passing phase me doing all this house work lol.

My hubby is off work today and Im actually excited that he can watch baby and I can get 'smelly cleaning' done haha x

This is the 1st thread i've replied to since being on this forum it really made me laugh as this is me!
My favs are petrol, Turps, Shake and Vac, Daz washing powder and any fabric conditioner. When i'm putting clothes in the washer I have to resist having a swig and the other day I accidentally snorted up some Daz while I was having a huge sniff!!!!!

MMMMmmmm totally with you on the multitude of cleaning product smell fetish, i've been hooked since about 12 weeks as smelling them every now and again was pure releif against my severe morning sickness!

The other thing that's hung around this pregnany is the urge to eat clean sponges and freshly hoovered or brand new carpets... the carpets literally make me drooooool. On the way to collect my son from school every day i walk past a carpet shop and they're always outside cutting up new bits etc, i have to really resist the urge to ask them for a square i can sniff andf chew on!

mines shake n vac! orange blossom! my other half keeps going mad at me for spending so much money on pots of powder that you put on your carpet and hoover up! he says its a waste but it makes the hoover smell good and im hoovering twice as much lol.. just wish i could eat the smell of it... very odd

Our first house was a modern 4 bed and it was easy to keep up with the cleaning, esp when i finished work, apart from the first few weeks the house was spottless esp considering how much i did during the nesting phase.

Anyway, this house is sooooo much bigger, it only has one more bedroom, but has a huge basement and more reception rooms, and on top of that its mega old (1800's) and in need of every room updated, plus there was so much stuff left in the house when we moved in  Some things are so hard to keep looking and smelling clean!

Ive spent a fortune starting to decorate different rooms and now have so many rooms started to be done but only one room actually done.

Is it just me being totally insane or does anyone else crave the smell of cleaning liquids? My favourites are.... Windolene spray, dettol multi surface cleaner and domestos limescale remover toilet cleaner

I have also developed a strange habit of sniffing the sponge from the bath, I hope Im not a total freak hahaha, everything clean just smells so NICE

im EXACTLY the same!

Well I put some diesel in my car earlier on and managed to get some on my fingers while doing up the cap - i had to work really hard to stop myself from licking them. They smelt LOVELY!!!! Needless to say the OH thinks I'm nuts, he suggested that I talk to FRANK!! Lol

Hehehehehehe, my hubby is off work today and has watched Mia while I obsessively cleaned all morning, he watched me clean the toilet and giggled all the way through!!

I also love the smell of diesel as we have a zafira diesel and I could stand quite happily in the petrol station just sniffing the air... it really is bordering on substance abuse

Im off down my mums soon, to sniff the bag of creosote sticks :happydance:

WhenI was expecting my first I LOVED the smell of calpol! But only the 0-6 years. the 6 plus just didn't do it the same!!!
