toddler milk - growing up milk

we tried she no likey so we gave up and gave her full fat cows milk.
hope that helps xx

Yes i do, Brooke isnt very good with cows milk, too much makes her sicky so she has SMA Toddler milk instead as she still drinks quite a lot of milk.

However, if cows milk wernt an issue i wouldnt bother and would just let her drink cows milk. Some toddler/follow on milks can be quite sugary so you should check the labels :)

we used it a bit later on, mostly in hopes that she'd like it better than her formula but that was not the case  we switched to cows milk right around a year and she loves that though

probably, we dont always have cows milk in the house

my toddler is 20 months old and he gets two sippy cups of 5oz of growing up toddler milk per day plus i make his porridge with it (about another 3-4 oz). he isn't too keen on cows milk, but he gets that at nursery and apparently drinks it fine there! i like the growing up milks as it has loads more iron to cows milk and vitamins, so i will give it to him as long as he will drink it!

we're exactly the same. it's strange, like fin is intolerant of the actual milk but he's fine with the toddler milk (aptamil). i really wish he was on cow's milk now though as cereals and other things mixed with milk are a ball ache! x

Brooke can have it in small doses, the odd 1oz here and there in cooking or cereals, but as an actual drink it just disagree's with her, its weird, but full fat milk is quite creamy so it may be too rich on their little stomachs.

And yes, very odd how powdered milk is ok

I want to try and give kye this as I think it has more iron and other beneficial things compared to cows milk, I will have to do some more research in to it as I am not 100% sure!!!

Thanks for all your replies xx

Please, please do some more research! I don't have any hard facts myself but my friend is studying nutrition and she had a mini rant when the C&G advert came on about iron and milk. There are lots of things your LO will benefit from when drinking normal cows milk - you feed him other things that he will get the iron from so he won't need the extra iron from this milk.

If you want I can ask her where she found this info, it's on the Food Standards Agency website somewhere I think but I can't find it, she has been meaning to give me the link for ages!
