Are these any good? Im thinking of geeting one to help with the transition from cot to bed as he LOVES peppa pig and I have seen one on amazon. My only reservation is that he loves peppa so much he might get too excited to sleep and it is an air bed. Any thoughts on these?

We use a thomas the tank engine one for camping, he loves the fact it's thomas but I definitely thunk they're too flimsy and not comfortable enough for every day use at home. Maybe get some peppa bedding? X

Yeah this is my other plan. I do worry about the long term effects of sleeping on an air bed.

Yes, DD1 used one for a week (Thomas the tank engine) whilst on holiday a few months before she turned 3 and she loved it! She's tall and there was ample room. Puffing it up was a pain in the arse as the attachment kept popping off both ends but once up it was lovely!

We've got the Peppa one and DD sleeps just fine on it (she's Peppa mad!)

The little blanket thing is attached which I didn't like at first, as wanted to use her own duvet but actually it's been fine. In summer she just has the built in blanket and in winter her usual duvet goes on top.

We use an electric pump (that we use for full size inflatable beds) for it rather than the supplied manual foot pump.

DS has a Gruffalo one for Grandma's which he loves, tbh I wouldn't use it as a transition though, you may have an easy time switching we had no issues going from cot to bed and like a PP said character bedding did the trick.

We have a Thomas one for sleeping at grandparents and holidays and it's great. I agree I don't think you need it to transition. It'll be simpler just to go straight to the bed.

I think they are fine for occasional use. But the quilt isn't really warm enough other than for summer use. However I wouldn't use it all the time or for transition as you'd be making 2 moves one into the readybed and then from the readybed into a bed.

Tom hated his - it was really noisy when he moved around, the cover wasn't thick enough but because it was fixed on one side he'd get tangled up in it. Luckily I bought it half price but it was a total waste of money.

I would just get some Peppa Pig bedding and go straight to a toddler bed.

They're ok but only for occasional use.

We bought a toddler sized bed for LO to transition from cot to bed but she only used it for about 6 months, she liked to spread out so then we put her into a full sized single. It's loads better and now the bumper guards have gone she loves it! :D I'd not bother with a toddler bed next time.

I've not used a toddler blow up bed before but just to add asda has some great character bedding at good prices if you're looking for some.

ETA they also do a boys George pig set -

We use the peppa pig ready bed for camping and may use it for sleepovers at grandma's or whatever. She does try and play with it because she's peppa mad but she usually sleeps okay. I wouldn't use it anymore than occasional use though. I can't stand sleeping on an air bed anymore than a week x
