I need to get a new toilet seat and am wondering what everyone uses? Currently we have a cheapie from Wilkinson but it is a pain as it goes underneath the main seat...it works but it means we have to put it on and I want my daughter to start going independently do she is prepared for school in September.

I was thinking of something like this instead:

What do you use?

I had bought a potty that can later be used as a step and the seat part just slots on top of the main toilet seat.

We've got one of these. It's convenient because it stays on all the time and doesn't have to be added/removed plus it's as sturdy as the regular seat. But we aren't starting training for another 10 days so I can't say for sure whether it will be as good as it sounds.

We use a family seat from b&q, it's a real toilet seat with a toddler seat that folds into the lid, it's fantastic

We've got one of these too from lidls and it is fab, Adam likes to lift the seat up and down:dohh: we also have a little step so he can go independently!

ETA I would get a small padded toilet seat as well for out and about (£2.99 from home bargains) purely as Adam refuses to go because the seat hole is too big!!!!:dohh:

Thanks guys, I did have one at my old flat but the seat wouldn't stay up, which was a pain for DH. Maybe I should try one again now I've moved.

We have one from Homebase, it's fab. Sturdy as a normal toilet seat, and Ro can pull it down himself. It stays magnetically attached to the lid when you lift the lid so not a bother for the adults.

We have the B & Q Dallas one. Its solid. Expensive but worth it, no lids falling down and the sturdiest toilet seat ive had full stop.

We have a fisher price singing potty too with a detachable lid.

we have the same one. it's brilliant.

I have a cheap one from mothercare, it sits on top of the normal toilet seat and lo uses it no problems

I have one similar to that for my boys. They both put it on the toilet when they have to go and take it off when they're done. Works well. :)
