Looking for some advice about toilet training :flower:

When we are at home Olivis has lots of nappy free time and for the past week Olivia has been telling me 'poo' a few seconds before she wees or poos unless she is distracted by toys or other kids.

Would you take this as a sign to start toilet training or is she too young (she is 17 months)

I would maybe leave it a bit longer. Hannah has been able to tell me when she needs a poo or a wee for quite a few months now but I still don't think she is 100% ready for training yet. She even gets the potty out of the cupboard when she needs a wee and goes to sit on it (with her nappy on).

I am just introducing the potty to her at this phase, then I think maybe early next year I'll start to seriously train her. I think it will be more successful if she is physically more able to dress and undress and I can also hold a conversation with her about potty training and why we do it. I know if I leave it later, we are more likely to succeed a lot quicker which will mean less frustration :)
