I told everyone last night, and it went soooo well!! My dads OH had her daughter at 17 so i think she had a helping hand with my dad! Last night he was very quiet but iv just spoke to him and hes excited:D They are going to buy me a 'Silvercross' pram, any idea why they would be so specific on the make? Had my Midwife appointment today and got my scan in a week:D Now i can just enjoy it!

Awww :) I'm glad it went so well for you :) Bet you can't wait for your scan xx

Im really looking forward to the scan! Can you buy muliple pictures because my whole fam want 1?

Where I come from you can, you can but as many as you want I think for £2 each. We always buy 2, one I keep in my bag and the other one goes in the baby book :) xx

ooo thats good then! I think it said on the letter ours were £3

I think the prices are ridiculous. You should at least get one free. Also for paying £2 before the picture tee lady took was awful you could barely see the baby on it was a waste of money, at least bubs was ok though :) hopefully this time it will be alot better picture.

Congratulations on telling your family! :hugs:

I'm happy their supportive! Yes,you can multiply your scan pics but it costs extra,of course you can always simply scan it to your PC and print them out...

Good luck with your scan! :D

As for the silvercross pram,I have one,not sure what you're wondering about them?

When they said Silvercross they may have meant one of the traditional carriage prams rather than the new type? Congrats anyway :D

As for the silvercross pram,I have one,not sure what you're wondering about them?

My Dad said he was going to get me one of them, are they good?
My dads OH found a mother care bag on the table with a pram brocher and some newborn socks! Im so happy that hes happy!

There is different types of Silvercross prams hunni. :)

And congrats on telling your dad. Glad it went down well.

:p

There are different types as Donna said.Of course you can go on the silvercross site

https://www.silvercross.co.uk/ and check them out.I have the 3D,so far haven't used much of it,just the car seat but yeah,it's very good.
Not so practical though, wouldn't recommend them if you live in a flat. :)

we have to pay £5 so i have to make sure i have 5 £1 coins when i go

Really glad it went well!! Although my mum was really supportive at the start, and she is OK with it, shes been nothing but a bitch to me the past month, my sisters not having anything to do with bubs since she was sucha bitch, my brothers OVERLY concerned and therefore does nothing but have a go at me, so it turns out my dads been the one thats there for me most, dads are great =) i love my dad! im so glad your dad's excited too!

I'm laughing here at your question about Silver Cross pram. Not so much because of your question, but the fact that I know something about them.

My mother had a traditional Silver Cross pram in 1959 when my brother was born. It was extremely expensive and is still believe it or not in perfect condition in our loft. They are actually collectors items and worth a lot of money (well the one we have is as it is considered vintage). But the design of that particular model has not changed since that time and they are considered quite chic.

Also, they are the favoured make of pram for the British Royal family babies, so that has give the name a lot of credit as you can imagine.

There are lots of other more modern designs, but the make is outstanding and the quality is guaranteed to last a lifetime if the pram is looked after. It sounds like your family want the best for their little girl. Now you can't ask for better than that. xx

My family are all up on silvercross prams too, though not the carriage kind. I think it's simply because at one point they were the best prams you could buy. They were the bugaboo/quinny's of the eighties! Still good prams now aswell :)

Glad they are being supportive hun & good luck for your scan next week xx
