Hello,

I have been ttc for 2 1/2 years now with no luck at all. I have had all the tests done and they have all come back fine with no problems at all.
The doctor has suggested that I try Chlomid.
I really wanted to conceive naturally so i have waited 10 months since my last appointment however still nothing has happened.

Because i am ovulating i am unsure if Chlomid would be suitable? i have heard that it makes your hormones go all over the place, are there any ladies out there that ovulate fine but are also using this drug? I would love to know your stories.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

I also ovulate on my own, I took clomid 6 or 7 times 2 with iui the other just to help with O. my cycles never changed just extended 1 day. Instead of ovulating on cd 14-15 I was on cd 15-16.

Hi also Clomid improves your egg quality- I am taking 100mg days 2-6 and each time have ended up with two follicles- so two eggs. I agree with momwannabe81 in that I ovulate now in day 15-16 instead of 14 but other than that haven't had many symptoms when taking it! My re has said that even if you ovulate it can increase the quality of your eggs if they are not on point- perhaps try for a month and see how you feel- worst case you get a bfp! ;)

Hi ladies, thanks very much for your replies.
I am going to get in touch with the clinic and give it a go... :) fingers crossed!

Clomid will help you produce a more mature egg and possibly more then one egg which means more targets for the sperm so it raises your chances a bit.

Hey I used clomid to conceive dd! We tried for 4 years and our first round of clomid I ovulated on cd16 and caught an egg they missed on the scan, as I was told I wouldn't conceive that month since there was just one teeny tiny follicle that wouldn't release an egg. I took 50mg cd2-7. My cycles are very regular and I ovulate on my own each cycle. I was given the clomid in hopes I would ovulate from my left ovary since my right tube had been removed from an ectopic pregnancy.

I highly suggest taking it. If your worried about hormones, take it at night to reduce side effects. I took it in the morning and don't remember feeling any different. It affects everyone differently.
