Hi, I'm just looking for some quick advice while looking what steriliser to buy. Last time I had a tommee tippee microwave steriliser, and we originally got the tommee tippee bottles too but DD didnt take to them right, so we got avent ones that were great.

Anyhoo - This time around I wanted a steriliser i could plug in to the wall on the side, out of the way as the microwave one was too bulky and was hogging the microwave all of the time. Ive looked in to the avent 3 in 1 steriliser but ive read bad reviews and its put me off so i was looking at buying the tommee tippee closer to nature electric steriliser but i want to use avent bottles again.

Does anyone know if the avent bottles fit in to the tommee tippee steriliser?

I'd say so yeah, me and my SIL both have that steriliser an she swapped to dr browns bottles for awhile and they fitted ok, and I'm sure thy are bigger than advent ones.

Thanks xLaura! Just noticed you're from Stoke too :)

Yup they fit fine
I had tommee tippee everything with my son and he couldn't get on with the bottles so switched to avent but still used the tt steriliser x

Yes they do. I have a TT steriliser and use Avent bottles and they fit great x

I adore the avent steam 3 in 1 steriliser...I find it hard to see what could be 'wrong' with it. I really think it is fab and the caddy system means it doesn't particuarly matter what bottles you use in it because it will fit in whatever. I use Medela bottles from when I breastfed/pumped. It has a huge capacity and literally 100ml of water sterilises LOTS. It's fast too.

ETA if you are concerned with descaling it, it is EASY and effortless. You just pour in some white vinegar and leave it, then wipe the heat plate. If it does scale up, it's not the sterilizer's fault it's your water..can't be helped.
