My 5 week old son had a mild tongue tie. He latched, but it was never "right". I always had to adjust his latch. It was starting to affect my supply so we paid a visit to Dr. Jack Newman today who confirmed he had a tongue tie. We got it clipped in this visit but since the release, he won't latch. He tries and tries and tried, but can never get on, even improperly.

Any suggestions to help him with this?

Go back to basics, tummy to mummy, nose to nipple, make sure he's opening his mouth wide. You can try the breast sandwich technique where you flatten your boob to make it easier for lo to latch, and also the nipple flick where you help lo latch on by pressing down in front of the nipple with your thumb to angle it up then as lo latches you sort of push your nipple under their top gum and upwards and backwards to get in the right place. It's really effective but so hard to describe lol. There must be vids/better descriptions than mine out there.
