I think that when you are having trouble conceiving you will look for answers almost anywhere.

I really understand it, we've been trying for ages, but the reality is you simply cannot self diagnose a thyroid condition using an online questionnaire. All you can do is see if you have some of the symptoms, but even that can be misleading because once you read the symptoms you over focus on them and start to see them even if they sometimes aren't there. Believe me, I have been there more than once.

The only way you can really know is to visit a medical professional and have a proper test. It's the only way to achieve true peace of mind in respect to this or other possible health conditions.
All the best.

I am going to the doctor on monday to get ALOT of tests and I guess I will just have them do a thyroid test too. The answers I put were stuff that I actuatly deal with. The painful, heavy cycles though went away when I was on BC (been off BC since 05) and now all that is better but I know somthing is just not right and thats why I am going to the doctor but wanted to know if anyone on here has thyroid problems and thought my symtoms seemed like a problem or not

Hi, hope you don't feel I was having a go at you, that wasn't the intention. A large number of the symptoms you ticked were experienced by my wife, but the cause was intra uterine fibroids coupled with a severe vitamin D deficiency.
She was also really low in iron due to the heavy periods, we're talking like 13 days for some. On the other hand, her mother has a pretty bad thyroid condition, but the only symptom she had was the inability to lose any weight. Maybe someone else with Thyroid issues will chime in. Hope you get it sorted, good luck.

It's hard to know without a blood test. I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and I would have never guessed it until the blood test came back. Now in hindsight, I can clearly see some symptoms of an under-active thyroid, but I could also easily write them off to other problems/issues. I did a quick check and I have 17 of the above symptoms. But even knowing that I have a thyroid issue, I'm not sure I can attribute all my symptoms to it, even though I suppose it could all be related. Definitely ask for the test, if you are suspicious you might have a thyroid issue.

you certainly have enough symptoms to warrant an immediate blood test. I have hypoT and ticked those you ticked too.
