Just wondering if anyone else is experience this..

at around 10 weeks i had such bad tooth pain i thought it was an ear infection.. went to the doctor and my ear was fine.. went to the dentist and although they wouldn't do x-rays all checked out fine.. pain went away in about 5 days..

14 weeks.. tooth pain is back (same side of mouth).. lasted about 2 days.. went away..

now at 21 weeks ,woke up and it's back again..

to go with it i have had ear pain on and off the whole pregnancy (same side of my face as the tooth pain). Its ONLY overnight and when i wake up my ear will be sooo painful and burning. The pain doesn't last long though (usually gone within an hour of waking up)

I've taken tylenol to help the pain, but i just find it so strange.. if it was a cavity or infection i don't think it would come and go like this .. plus i have been checked by a dentist and doctor.

Has anyone had this when any of their pregnancies? is it just another weird symptom?

any advice is appreciated! thanks ladies!! :flower:

It could be a pulp infection inside the tooth, or a condition with the root of the tooth - why wouldn't they do xrays? I'm a dental hygienist and here we still do xrays while pregnant if needed, as with the lead apron and the very little exposure you get from a dental xray there is no risk. If it keeps bothering you I would call them and ask them to do an xray because the pain won't stop

i also work in a dental office. for tooth pain dont take tylenol, advil or ibeprofin works best. if its at night it could be you clenching. it can cause ear aches

Hi!! I hope you check this. I Am 10 weeks and experiencing the exact same tooth/ear issue. What was your outcome? Was it your tooth or just pregnancy??!

Hope all is well with your baby.

I've had this exact thing happen on and off for years, not pregnancy related. I put it down to clenching. If you've been checked out and you're fine, I'd say don't worry about it. Are you stressed?

I have a similar thing- I get tooth pain in the same area/side of my mouth and it will sometimes turn into a migraine- sometimes i have it frequently, other times i'll go months in between. Went to the dentist and had an x-ray, they said it was fine and go to doctor to rule out sinus/ear infection. Went to the doctor and they said I was fine, and to go to the dentist. It's been going on years and I never got an answer...

This happens to me when my wisdom teeth move up and down ( Which is often ) hoping to get the damn things out after baby arrives.
