Hi everyone,a year's past November I had a total thyroidectomy,it was supposed to help with ttc as my levels where high, which was making it difficult to conceive and when I did I miscarried:-(

So after I finally had the op I did actually fall pregnant about 6 months later but unfortunately miscarried again, now it's almost two years since we conceived( trying for 4 in total!!)

I was just wondering if anyone had any knowledge on tsh levels,I've just called my Dr surgery to find mine out and it's 1.3 is this ok for ttc???tia

I don't know personally- sorry. But first :hugs:

Second- my bestie had to have her thyroid removed and she got prego not long after- I do know, for her, they had to check her levels often. As the levels can affect pregnancy (as well as TTC). Then they adjusted her medication as needed.

Certainly cannot hurt to see a specialist or someone who knows about thyroid levels- and have them checked often while TTC to make sure they are in the normal range.

Best of luck!

Thank you,its been about 6 months since I had mine checked and I was told they were fine,so hopefully they were.I might not hurt to get checked again tho!!

I did fall pregnant after I had mine removed but unfortunately wasn't meant to be,but I was told it had nothing to do with the fact I had no thyroid

One of my friends has had her thyroid removed about 9 years ago plus shes a recovered cancer patient and was diagnosed with a rear form of cancer at the age of 3 Shes now 30 and married and she fell pregnant 3 time. 2 of which she lost and 2 years ago she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

Aw what a lovely happy ending for your friend!!it sounds like she's been through it!!
